Capability manager also plays a role in business growth through supporting headcount increase in his respective accounts and utilization improvement through demand management and fulfilment. Has Knowledge on Designs of mechanical systems, equipment and packaging (Preferably in vacuum and gas flow systems). Directs support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, testing, prototype fabrication and performance validation.Key Responsibilities: Interface with internal and external customers regarding mechanical issues for specific project. Establishes standards across all operational processes. Appraisal reviews Periodic performance review of reports Set/monitor/review CDP for reports Capability and capacity building to meet present and future demand Be the Primary touch point to enhance employee experience Monitor and control the business parameters under CM purview Demand fulfillment/ Supply Management -Internal/External Solution led business growth POC or value creation support Participate in org initiatives Recruitment NV plans Industry/Institution engagements Represent HCL in events/conferences Contribute to standards bodies / open sourceFunctional Knowledge : • Demonstrates expanded conceptual knowledge in own discipline and broadens capabilities. • Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. • No supervisory responsibilities but provides informal guidance to new team members. • Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents. • Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines and policies. • Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.Job Specific Knowledge : Knowledge necessary to perform job include: working knowledge of mechanical engineering design, and material science concepts and techniques, including proficiency in solving engineering problems using analytical techniques and engineering knowledge; basic knowledge of electrical engineering; working knowledge of CAD tools like UG/NX & Creo; and basic knowledge of appropriate materials, components and technologies used in the semiconductor equipment industry.Skills: Requires strong skills in change management, problem solving, communication skills, customer orientation, product technology, global business perspective, personal effectiveness, project management, team skills and quality. Application Knowledge of GD&T, Root cause analysis. Requires knowledge of systems and software necessary to perform job function such as UG /NX, AutoCAD, Oracle BOM, and/or Oracle ECO.
