Job Summary:

Location: Chennai/Bangalore

The Aruba Wireless Network Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, troubleshooting, and migration of wireless network solutions across medium to large-scale enterprise environments. This role demands strong technical expertise in Aruba wireless technologies, WAN/LAN/WLAN infrastructure, and modern software-defined networking principles. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing wireless solutions aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect Aruba wireless solutions for enterprise environments.
  • Implement and configure Aruba wireless controllers, access points, and related infrastructure.
  • Implement and maintain wireless security protocols including WPA3, 802.1X, and integration with enterprise authentication systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex wireless issues across LAN/WAN/WLAN environments.
  • Lead or support wireless migration projects from legacy systems to Aruba platforms.
  • Collaborate with network, security, and infrastructure teams to integrate Aruba wireless solutions with broader IT architecture ensure compliance with security standards and best practices in wireless deployments.
  • Document network designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Provide SME-level support during critical incidents and outages.
  • Monitor network performance using Aruba management tools (e.g., Aruba AirWave, Aruba Central).
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
  • Stay up to date with Aruba product updates, firmware releases, and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8-12 years of experience in enterprise networking, with at least 4+ years in Aruba wireless technologies.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Aruba Mobility Controllers, Instant APs, ClearPass, and AirWave.
  • Deep understanding of wireless protocols, RF fundamentals, and spectrum analysis.
  • Experience in designing and deploying wireless networks in high-density environments.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting tools like Ekahau, NetSpot, Wireshark, etc.
  • Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, QoS, DHCP, DNS, and IPAM.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Certifications such as Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP), CCNP Wireless, or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team across global stakeholders.
  • Candidate should be flexible to work in shifts.
