Pump Testing Engineer

Role & responsibilities:

1. Proactively optimum level planning of Digha & ABN pump testing activities.

2. Maintain & improve KPIs of pump testing with daily CAPA. FPY > 90%

3. Ensure all testing related compliances as per API & global requirements.

4. Proactively planning & execution of strategic committed orders in testing.

5. Provide leadership to achieve operational excellence through the processes of inspection planning, in process and final inspection surveillance, analysis of data including First Pass Yield metrics, corrective action and continual improvement.

6. Assist with pump testing for TPI / Customer witness & resolve set-up & performance problems & submissions of report within time.

7. Key Interface with customers and suppliers on quality issues plus resolution of any problems within process and final product acceptance

8. Assist with customer complaints and correction actions. Manage corrective actions in Quality system and report deficiencies in responses and results.

9. Reformation of test beds to fulfill the compliance & increase in through put with safety.

10. Assist sales and tendering for quality requirements and feasibility, performance parameters and feasibility at Pre Bid stage.


Preferred candidate profile:

Work experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in API Centrifugal Pump Testing & Pump assembly

Expertise (e.g. professional, technical):

  • High level competency in API & BFW pumps and pumping system essentials.
  • Familiarity with standard pump control philosophies with Software.
  • Own hand experience of pump testing & analysis of complex pumping systems
  • Able to understand and produce P&IDs, GA, QAP, data sheet, pump curves.
  • Expertise to handle global customers.
  • High level safety practices, Lean, Testing Software, API pump components, Design requirements etc.
