Role Title : Tech Lead PHP

Location : Mumbai, Gurgaon, Haryana

Organization : Allcargo Group

Employment Type : Permanent

Reporting to IT organization : IT Team, DTE

Purpose to hire this position : Lead PHP development and support for ECU Air project.

Educational Qualification : Bachelor's degree in computer science or related information technology

Technical Experience :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.


- Master's degree is a plus.

- Extensive experience (5+ years) in PHP web development, with proficiency in PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.

- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.

- Proficiency in relational database management systems, particularly MySQL or PostgreSQL.

- Experience with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries (e.g., Vue.js, React, Angular).

- Knowledge of RESTful API design and development.

- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.

- Knowledge of caching mechanisms and performance optimization techniques.

- Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.

- Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., PHP Unit, Code ception).

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of leading and mentoring development teams.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead a team of PHP developers in all aspects of the software development lifecycle.

- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Architect, design, and implement scalable and maintainable PHP applications.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth.

- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines.

- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate backend logic with frontend interfaces.

- Optimize application performance and scalability through effective code optimization and database tuning.

- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in production environments, providing timely resolution.

- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in PHP development and advocate for their adoption when applicable.

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the development team.

Secondary Skills :

- Agile process knowledge will be an added advantage.
