Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Technical Lead at SCHACH ENGINEERS (P) Ltd. located in Mumbai. The Technical Lead will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day technical activities, managing a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and support, and to spearhead our ERP initiatives ensuring project deadlines and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ERP system implementation, customization, and optimization, with a strong technical background and the ability to lead a team of professionals. This role demands a deep understanding of business processes and the ability to translate these into effective solutions that align with our business objectives


Key Responsibilities:


ERP Expertise:

  1. Lead the selection, implementation, and optimization of ERP systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  2. Collaborate with key stakeholders to define ERP requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  3. Drive ERP system integration projects, providing technical oversight and ensuring successful deployment and maintenance.
  4. Customize ERP systems to meet specific business needs, including system configuration, workflow development, and system integration.


Technical Leadership:

  1. Provide technical leadership and guidance for all ERP and Non ERP-related projects.
  2. Develop and maintain a comprehensive technology roadmap, aligned with business goals.
  3. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation.


Project Management:

  1. Oversee the end-to-end management of projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
  2. Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  3. Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring smooth and successful project execution.


Team Management:

  1. Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  2. Set clear goals and objectives for the team, providing regular feedback and performance evaluations.
  3. Promote professional development opportunities and ensure adequate training for team members.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  1. Work closely with senior leadership, department heads, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and priorities.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement technology solutions that drive operational excellence and support strategic initiatives.
  3. Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders, translating technical concepts into business-friendly language.


Risk Management and Compliance:

  1. Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  2. Implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect company data and infrastructure from threats.
  3. Establish disaster recovery and business continuity plans for ERP systems to minimize disruptions in the event of an outage or breach.


Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with setting IT management and production priorities and goals, balancing long-term and immediate needs.
  2. Develop and manage annual and quarterly budgets related to technology initiatives.
  3. Oversee data security, management, and governance within all systems.
  4. Manage strategic vendor and technology partner relationships.
  5. Ensure technical excellence, versatility, safety, soundness, resiliency, and scalability.




Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  2. Proven experience of 8+ years in a senior technical role with a focus on ERP systems.
  3. Extensive expertise in ERP system implementation, customization, and optimization.
  4. Strong background in software development and system integration.
  5. Demonstrated success in leading technical teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  8. Proven track record of staying current with emerging technologies and driving innovation.
