Role Overview:We're looking for a Category Manager - Housekeeping Category to manage end-to-end procurement, vendor relationships, pricing, and supply chain efficiency for housekeeping consumables. This role is crucial in ensuring timely availability, quality assurance, and cost-effectiveness of housekeeping resources like manpower, chemicals, tools, and equipment.Key Responsibilities:- Source and procure housekeeping materials, consumables, and equipment- Build strong vendor networks and maintain supplier relationships- Analyze demand trends to forecast and plan procurement- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service-level agreements- Onboard vendors based on capability, pricing, and quality- Ensure timely delivery of supplies across all operational sites- Track category spend, savings, and performance metrics- Stay updated on market trends and cost dynamicsKey Requirements:Education: Graduate in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or a Diploma in Supply Chain Management is a plus.Experience: 3-5 years in procurement, category management, or operations in housekeeping/facility negotiation & analytical skillsIn-depth knowledge of housekeeping products & servicesVendor evaluation & contract managementExcellent interpersonal & coordination abilities (ref:iimjobs.com)
