About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Hardware Engineer to lead the design and development of embedded hardware systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electronics design, RF interfaces, and high-speed systems, along with proven leadership in cross-functional hardware development projects.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design hardware systems to meet product requirements and define sub-system requirements.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Software, NPD, Validation, Mechanical) to define and refine product requirements.

- Perform design calculations, simulations, worst-case analysis, and tolerance analysis for electronic designs.

- Define and execute engineering verification test plans.

- Drive PCB design collaboration and ensure high-quality layouts with DFM, DFA, and DFT principles.

- Lead FMEA process and instill a culture of risk analysis and mitigation throughout the product lifecycle.

- Collaborate with mechanical engineers for ECAD-MCAD integration and footprint definition.

- Develop sub-system platforms and manage variants to maximize reuse across product lines, accelerating TTM (Time-to-Market).

- Plan, allocate, and review hardware team tasks to ensure timely project delivery.

- Conduct thermal, reliability, and environmental evaluations for hardware designs.

- Support EMI/EMC compliance, electrical safety standards, and quality management systems.

- Work closely with suppliers and validation teams to ensure product compliance with regulatory and safety standards.

Requirements & Skills :

Education & Experience :

- B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Communication, or Instrumentation Engineering.

- 5+ years of experience in embedded hardware design with proven leadership in product development.

Technical Expertise :

- RF Interface Design : GPS, RTK-GPS, Wi-Fi, BLE, 4G/5G.

- High-Speed Design : Nvidia/Qualcomm GPU-based systems.

- Embedded Hardware : ST or equivalent microcontrollers.

- Communication Protocols : SCI, SPI, IC, CAN.

- High-Speed Interfaces : USB, Ethernet, MIPI, LVDS.

- IoT/GSM/GPS Modules : Application development with off-the-shelf components.

- Antenna Theory & RF Tuning knowledge.

- Programming : C, C++, Python, Assembly (ARM/x86); API development.

- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems, Electrical Safety Standards, EMI/EMC Test Standards.

- Familiarity with environmental & thermal test standards for electronics.

- Hands-on expertise with test equipment : DSOs, Spectrum Analyzers, Logic Analyzers, VNAs, Data Loggers, PSUs, Electronic Loads, DMMs, Power Analyzers.

- Simulation tools : Mathcad, Matlab, SPICE, Hyperlynx, Crystal Ball, Minitab.
