Job Description:

To ensure continuous Project activities by uninterrupted supply of material & machinery.

Oversee the selection of vendors like contractors, equipment and machinery suppliers, design and implement the SOPs for their selection and efficient performance and monitoring.

Ensures the project produces the specified results in the project timeline workplan(s) to the required standard of quality and within the timeline and budget parameters wrt Procurement.

To Ensure quality, timely delivery & cost-effective procurement.

Procurement of engineering items(Capex primarily & Opex).

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

- Focus on Project Procurements in a process manner.

- Proficient at developing vendor base along with third party purchase for obtaining timely procurement of materials at favorable terms.

- Issue Purchase Orders to the vendors after getting their quotations and comparative.

- Manage day to day interactions with vendors for pricing of Purchases of material & delivery related issues and serve as the central point of contact for all supplier connectivity.

- Ensure quality, timely delivery & cost-effective procurement.

- To ensure continuous production activities by uninterrupted supply of material.

- Excellent Knowledge of Engineering items, Electrical Items, Mechanical Items.

- Good Knowledge of Mechanical Spares for Machines (Motors, Pumps, Cables, Electrical Poles, SS Tanks, Flanges, Broiler Thermals, Cooling Towers etc.

- Thermal Accessories (PVDF Pipe/Welding Rods/HDPE).

- Should be from Chemical Industry background.

- Procurement of Engineering Items CAPEX & OPEX.

- Chillers, Reactors, Glass reactors, Valves, Big Vessels, Boilers, Pipes & Pumps procurement.

- Cost Reductions and Rationalization for costing.

- Have handled a team of more than 5 people.

- Should be regular Mechanical Degree holder.

- Have handled the Projects Procurement in Purchase Dept.

- being head for at least last 5 years.

- Daily MIS reporting to management with all facts and available stock.

Skills & Competencies Required:

- Excellent Knowledge of Project Procurement, Engineering items, Electrical Items, Mechanical Items.

- Good Knowledge of Mechanical Spares for Machines (Motors, Pumps, Cables, Electrical Poles, SS Tanks, Flanges, Broiler Thermals, Cooling Towers etc.

- Should be from Chemical Industry background.

Academic & Professional Qualifications:

- BE (Mechanical preferred)/Other streams with an MBA in SCM preferably.

Experience Required:

- Minimum experience of 8 years in a similar profile, should have managed the Purchase Department being HOD for at least 5 years, & should have handled a team of 15 Must be from Chemical Industry.
