Location: Strategize the positioning of a product category in order to maximize its visibility Collaborate with the marketing team
- To conduct research on competitors and suggest appropriate pricing and promotional activities
- Work with analytics team and merchandisers to find new ways of expanding product categories
- Creating and developing a strategic long-term plan for the development of the category
- Developing an exit strategy for unsuccessful products
- Understand the concept & ideation from the Management. Translate the new ideas into a complete plan of action.
- Perform International Market Research, Trend and Competitor analysis, and provide recommendations accordingly.
- Suggest and present new styles/ designs/ collections with proper product mix as per required price point, quantity and quality standards suggested by management.
- Discuss with Management & finalize the designs and products to be launched or optimized.
- Participate in new project meetings & share the new work information with all the team members.
- Actively involved in various product development stages right from conceptualization till the final product goes live.
- Coordinate with the Product development team and monitor the new product launch timeline to ensure new merchandise is launched as per the decided timeline.
- Work on categorization on the website in coordination with the reporting officer and optimize the existing categories as per data analysis.
- Stay updated with the developments in the International Jewelry Market, keep watch on competitors' moves and make counter strategies.
Qualifications we seek in you :
- 8+ years of experience in category management of Precious and Semi-Precious Colored Gemstone and Diamond Jewelry or Luxury products with an e-commerce Company.
- Strong and thorough knowledge of Luxury/ Precious and Semi-Precious Gemstones and Diamond Jewelry.
- Knowledge of Gemstones/ jewelry would be an added advantage.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Ability to take initiative and work autonomously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong project management, analytical skills, numerical skills.
- Excellent market analysis skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with key members to facilitate the accomplishment of work.
