Summary of Position :At Alcon, we're passionate about enhancing sight and helping people see brilliantly.With more than 25,000 associates, we innovate fearlessly, champion progress, and act swiftly to impact global eye health.We foster an inclusive culture, recognizing your contributions and offering opportunities to grow your career like never before.Together, we make a difference in the lives of our patients and customers.Are you ready to join us?This role is part of Alcon's Information Technology function, a team that delivers cutting-edge technology solutions to Alcon associates and customers to help our people and the world see brilliantly.The Principal I, IT Business Systems Analysis (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for leading the design and implementation of complex business systems, working with cross-functional teams to ensure technical solutions align with strategic business goals.Specifics Include :- Lead the design and implementation of large-scale IT systems that meet business objectives and are scalable for growth.- Act as the primary point of contact for business and IT teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment.- Provide technical leadership and guidance to analysts and other project team members.- Ensure solutions are scalable, efficient, and align with long-term business strategies.- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.- Lead high-impact IT systems analysis projects with significant business implications.- Make high-level decisions related to IT system design and architecture, ensuring systems are designed to meet future business needs.- Provide input on business strategy and align IT solutions with business goals.Key Requirements :System Implementation & Support :- Lead configuration, deployment, and maintenance of IT platforms.- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.- Support operations and ad-hoc requests and research.- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.Project Management :- Drive transportation-related IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.- Coordinate cross-functional teams including vendors, logistics, and IT operations.- Develop project estimates and complete financial mode (costs, savings, revenue opportunities).Integration & Data Flow :- Ensure seamless data exchange between TMS, ERP, and external systems.- Monitor and troubleshoot data flow issues, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Process Optimization :- Identify opportunities to improve transportation workflows and system performance.- Recommend and implement enhancements to increase automation and reduce manual effort.Vendor Collaboration :- Serve as the liaison between vendor and Alcon team.- Manage vendor relationships and service-level agreements.Key Performance Indicators :- Successful implementation and upgrades of transportation technical products.- Reduction in transportation-related system downtime and incidents.- Improvement in shipment visibility and tracking accuracy.- On-time delivery of IT transportation projects.- User satisfaction scores from internal stakeholders.- Number of process improvements implemented annually.Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications :- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain, or related field.- 5- 10 years of experience in IT systems related to transportation and logistics and 2- 3+years of relevant experience in Blue Yonder TMS (Transportation Management System).- Hands-on experience with Blue Yonder TMS (Transportation Management System), FOM (Freight Order Management) & TMOD (Transportation Modeling).- Strong understanding of transportation operations and supply chain processes.- Experience with system integration, APIs, and data mapping.- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (verbal & written).- Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines in a fast paced environment.- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a positive and timely manner.- Work hours : 1 PM to 10 PM IST.- Relocation assistance : Yes.
