This role is part of Alcon's Information Technology function, a team that delivers cutting-edge technology solutions to Alcon associates and customers to help our people and the world see brilliantly. The Principal I, Application & Data Security (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for leading efforts to assess and mitigate security risks within applications and data systems, focusing on enhancing security measures and protecting against evolving threats.Specifics include :- Conduct detailed security assessments of applications and data systems, identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities.- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to integrate security measures into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and ensure security protocols are integrated across systems.- Assist with implementing security technologies and practices across applications and data storage systems.- Provide technical guidance on best practices for application security and data protection.- Monitor and report on security performance, suggesting improvements to enhance security effectiveness.- Make decisions on technical security practices and risk mitigation strategies.- Collaborate with leadership to align security strategies with business and technology goals.ATTENTION: Current Alcon Employee/Contingent Worker : If you are currently an active employee/contingent worker at Alcon, please click the appropriate link below to apply on the Internal Career site.
