Alcon - Principal Engineer I - IAC Terraform

Key Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for microservices-based applications (Spring Boot, Angular, SAP Hybris).- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.- Manage cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) ensuring scalability, security, and cost optimization.- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, GDPR) in all DevOps processes.- Monitor system performance, availability, and security using observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).- Automate deployment, configuration, and monitoring to reduce manual intervention.- Collaborate with development, QA, and security teams to integrate DevSecOps practices.- Implement disaster recovery and backup strategies for critical healthcare systems.Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:- 7+ years in DevOps or related roles, with 3+ years in cloud-native environments.- Strong experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).- Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, GDPR) and security best practices.- Strong scripting skills (Python or similar).Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelors OR Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.HOW YOU CAN THRIVE AT ALCON:- Opportunity to work in best-in-class Organization among Medical Devices/Equipment sector.- Opportunity to work in a high paced agile environment.- Work with people who are passionate of delivering outcomes and a culture of simplification and ownership.- Truly international environment and daily interactions with colleagues from all over the world.- Attractive benefits package (medical care, group insurance, lunch card, transportation allowance, flexible time off, and much more).- Permanent employment contract, attractive base salary and annual bonus.- Flexible hours and hybrid model of work.Employment Scams: Alcon is aware of employment scams which make false use of our company name or leaders names to defraud job seekers.
