SGA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced candidate with a strong background in forecasting and data modelling for the role of Lead Analyst. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining/creating technology forecasts and data models through advanced data analysis techniques. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills and the ability to lead a team of analysts.



  1. Data Analysis and Modelling
  2. Develop and implement complex data models to analyze and interpret data
  3. Utilize statistical methods to create accurate forecasting models
  4. Conduct detailed data analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making processes
  5. Forecasting
  6. Perform vendor revenue analysis of technology provider
  7. Design and deploy forecasting models to predict future trends and business outcomes
  8. Monitor and refine models to ensure accuracy and reliability
  9. Provide detailed forecasting reports and presentations to senior management
  10. Develop industry forecasts with respect to ICT spending as per standard SGA taxonomy
  11. Leadership and Collaboration
  12. Lead a team of analysts, providing mentorship and guidance to develop their skill
  13. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solution.
  14. Ensure the quality and accuracy of team deliverable
  15. Develop and maintain dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs)
  16. Liaise with SGA /client analysts to market
  17. Market tracking and Process Improvement.
  18. Track industry-wise ICT spending trends
  19. Identify opportunities to enhance data collection, analysis processes, and tool
  20. Implement best practices for data governance and data management
  21. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize analytical capabilities.
  22. Research requirement
  23. Do require secondary research to collect information on software/service segment
  24. Keep up to date with global and regional business and economic scenario.
  25. Analyze responses generated from primary surveys.
  26. Create regression models for defined industry verticals and geographies.
  27. Liaise with SGA /client analysts to understand their need and provide solutions.
  28. Attention to detail in dealing with huge datasets.
  29. Ad-hoc, consulting and other activities.
  30. Actively seek and work on ad-hoc and consulting projects as required.
  31. Respond to client queries within agreed timeline and quality standards.
  32. Actively manage SGA’s engagement with the clients by being a front-facing spokesperson.
  33. Create / update existing documents with changes in methodology and best practices being followed.
  34. Do competitor and other market research to improve the process.



Skills, experiences and qualifications required

  • Education
  • A management degree with bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Technology/Computer Science, or a related field.



Experience


  1. 8+ years of experience in research.
  2. 5+ years of experience in data analysis, forecasting, modelling, and report generation, with 3+ years working on ICT markets.
  3. Proven experience leading a team of analysts.
  4. Understanding of financial reporting practices of technology vendors is required.
  5. Demonstrated expertise in statistical analysis. Knowledge of machine learning (ML) techniques will be added advantage.
  6. Technical Skills
  7. Advanced knowledge of Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and macross.
  8. Knowledge of statistical software (e.g., R, SAS), data analysis tools (e.g., Python, SQL), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) will be added advantage.
  9. Analytical Skills
  10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  11. Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.



Communication Skills

  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  2. Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  3. Leadership and Management.
  4. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  5. Ability to lead and develop a team will be an added advantage.
