Generator Sales professional sells power generation equipment to clients by identifying needs, recommending solutions, negotiating pricing, and managing the sales cycle, which often involves technical consultation, site visits, and coordination with engineering and service teams. Responsibilities include lead generation, CRM updates, preparing quotes, and fostering customer relationships to meet sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Lead Generation: Cultivate new business by identifying potential customers and following up on leads through various channels.
Customer Needs Assessment: Understand client power needs through site visits, consultations, and technical discussions to recommend appropriate generator models.
Sales Cycle Management: Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact and qualification to preparing quotes, closing deals, and providing after-sales support.
Technical Consultation: Leverage product knowledge and collaborate with technical experts to ensure accurate product recommendations and solutions.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to ensure customer satisfaction and foster repeat business.
Administrative Tasks: Maintain up-to-date records in a CRM system, track sales activities, and prepare progress reports.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of generator lines, stock lists, and industry trends to identify sales opportunities.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management abilities to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.
Sales Acumen: A results-driven mindset, analytical skills, and the ability to handle rejections while pursuing sales goals.
CRM & Sales Software Proficiency: Competence in using CRM systems and other sales automation tools.
Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand and articulate technical specifications, often in coordination with engineers and service teams.
Work Environment
