Main responsibilities:

  • Should be capable of making the design & engineering drawings/documents of pre-bid and post-bid projects of rooftop and ground-mount solar systems;
  • Good understanding of BoP (Balance of Plant) for solar PV projects with various technology (such as string inverter, central inverter, Single Axis tracker system, bifacial PV modules, Fixed type mounting supporting structure etc.);
  • Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for potential solar projects;
  • Absolutely essential to have a thorough understanding of the IEC, EN, BS, IEEE, NFC and other international codes & standards related to Solar PV project design;
  • Review of tender documents and making of query & deviation list based on past project experience & prepare technical proposals;
  • Attend technical clarification meetings with clients when required to be sure the information is clear and presented in a concise manner while being technically correct and complete;
  • Preparation of engineering drawings with AutoCAD software;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solar power plant layouts;
  • Stay abreast of solar industry trends and emerging technologies.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Candidate should have a minimum B. Tech degree in Electrical engineering (From Tier -1 Institute);
  • Minimum 5 Years’ Experience in Solar PV Power Plant Designing (EPC / Consultant);
  • Working knowledge of Auto Cad, PVSYST, PV CASE, DigSilent power factory, CYMCAP etc.;
  • Excellent client-facing/ EPC and internal communication skills;
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in all phases of PV projects including substantial and varied experience in project planning and design;
  • Proficiency in English is necessary;
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage time, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines;
  • Ability to delegate and prioritize work for drafters, technicians, and interns.
