Job Role / Key Responsibilities / Key Result Areas


Design Development: Collaborate with the sales team and project engineers to gather project requirements and develop solar power plant designs that are technically sound and commercially viable.

Team Coordination: Coordinate with Design Executives in India and internationally to ensure design consistency and integration across all project phases.

Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to the design team, ensuring the use of best practices and innovative solutions in solar design.

Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for design-related discussions with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.

Quality Assurance: Oversee the design process to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality policies.

Reporting: Regularly report progress, challenges, and achievements to the Senior Project Manager and Project Head, ensuring transparency and alignment with project goals.


Key Result Areas (KRAs):

1.Design Planning and Management: Develop and implement strategies to achieve the annual design target and ensure alignment with project objectives. Oversee the design process from project initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.

2.Team Leadership and Development: Provide leadership and direction to the design team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture. Identify training needs and opportunities for skill development among Design Executives to enhance team capabilities.

3.Quality Assurance and Compliance: Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and compliance of design deliverables with industry standards and regulations. Conduct regular reviews and audits of design work to identify areas for improvement and ensure continuous quality enhancement.

4.Client Engagement and Satisfaction: Collaborate with clients to understand their design requirements and expectations, ensuring alignment with project objectives. Monitor client satisfaction with design services and address any concerns or issues in a timely and effective manner.

5.Process Optimization and Efficiency: Identify opportunities to streamline design processes, improve efficiency, and reduce turnaround time while maintaining quality standards. Implement best practices and tools to enhance the effectiveness and productivity of the design team.

6.Performance Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports and performance metrics on design output, quality, and team performance for management and stakeholders. Analyze data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement in design operations.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

1.Design Output:

1.1. Target Achievement: Percentage of the annual design target completed within the specified timeframe.

1.2.MW Design Completed: Cumulative MW capacity of solar designs completed by the team against the annual target.

2.Quality of Design:

2.1. Accuracy Rate: Incidence of design errors or discrepancies in completed designs. Compliance Rate: Adherence of designs to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company guidelines.

3Efficiency and Productivity:

3.1. Design Turnaround Time: Average time taken to complete a design project from initiation to finalization.

3.2. Designs Per Employee: Number of designs completed per Design Executive to gauge productivity and workload distribution.

4Team Performance:

4.1. Team Collaboration: Effectiveness of teamwork and collaboration among Design Executives in achieving collective goals.

4.2. Employee Satisfaction: Feedback from team members on workload, resources, and support provided.


Software Knowledge Required: Auto CAD, PV-SYST, Google Sketch ( PV-SOL, Helioscope optional)
