Job Profile: Business Head - LAP

Job Role:

As the Business Head for Loan Against Property (LAP), you will assume complete P&L responsibility for our LAP business segment. This pivotal role entails spearheading business development initiatives, originating LAP transactions, and overseeing a team responsible for credit assessment, disbursement, and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Goal Setting:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for the LAP business, delineating clear objectives to drive growth and profitability.

Business Development - LAP Transactions:

  • Lead the origination of LAP transactions, identifying new opportunities and nurturing relationships with key partners, clients, and stakeholders.

Team Building for LAP Business:

  • Establish and lead a high-performing team dedicated to the LAP business, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

Credit Team Management:

  • Supervise the credit team responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of LAP applicants, ensuring compliance with risk management policies.

Disbursement and Monitoring:

  • Oversee the disbursement process, ensuring timely and accurate loan processing.
  • Implement robust monitoring mechanisms to track loan performance and mitigate risks.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with critical partners, clients, and stakeholders to enhance business ties and explore collaborative ventures.

Compliance and Policy Adherence:

  • Ensure rigorous adherence to internal and regulatory policies governing the LAP segment.
  • Implement and monitor compliance measures to mitigate risks and uphold industry standards.

Team Development and Performance:

  • Manage the development, performance, and training of LAP staff to foster continuous improvement aligned with business objectives.

Market Analysis and Trends Evaluation:

  • Monitor consumer sentiments, market trends, and competitor activities in the LAP sector.
  • Identify opportunities and challenges, crafting strategies to sustain a competitive advantage.

Problem Identification and Resolution:

  • Proactively identify and address any issues, risks, or challenges impacting the LAP business.
  • Implement corrective measures and solutions to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • MBA or equivalent qualification in Finance, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 12-15 years of progressive experience in the financial services sector, with a focus on Loan Against Property.
  • Demonstrated track record in managing P&L responsibility, driving business development, and leading high-performing teams.
