DGM - Project Management - Wind Energy

- Oversee the construction of the wind plant from site selection, pre-construction studies to the final installation of turbines and transmission lines.
- Day-to-day monitoring to ensure the project is completed on schedule and within budget by regularly reviewing and reporting to accounting on forecasted expenditures.
- Implement processes related to permitting compliances, safety policies, construction quality management system, and transportation of wind turbines.
- Coordinate with various external agencies for power evacuation and other approvals, synchronization, data communication, and permission to commission.
- Conduct regularly scheduled project meetings with management, clients, and subcontractors to facilitate, confirm, and communicate the status of the project execution plan, schedule, and EPC activities.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor work progress, quality, and adherence to specifications.
- Ensure that the necessary approvals are in place and components and parts are delivered at the site as per requirements, including the main crane/other cranes.
- Draft and release the construction SOPs and checklists.
- Recruit project personnel for the field execution team who will oversee site clearing, foundation construction, tower erection, etc.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
- Coordinate with the Supply Chain team to procure goods and services necessary for all phases of project execution, including preparation of bid packages, evaluation of proposals, and contract negotiations for works like TL, PSS, road, vigilance, and consultants for TECHNICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Deep understanding of wind-specific construction concerns such as constraints on when cranes can operate due to high winds, geotechnical constraints on foundation types, and soil properties for cable and trenching operations.
- Sound understanding of the regulatory requirements for managing project risks and issues.
