About the Role We are seeking a talented and detail-obsessedColoristto join our growing video production team. As our in-house Colorist, you will be instrumental in defining thevisual tone and color languageacross a diverse array of content—from premium educational videos and masterclasses to brand films and product explainers. You’ll bring a deep understanding ofcolor science ,S-Log/RAW workflows , andvisual storytellingto enhance mood, tone, and brand consistency. Your role is pivotal in ensuring every frame we release meets thehighest cinematic standards , elevating the learner's experience and reinforcing the NxtWave brand’s visual excellence.Key Responsibilitie sColor Grading & Look Developmen tPerformcolor correctio n andcolor gradin g on footage shot inS-Log/RA W profiles, delivering high-quality, visually consistent results across a range of formats .Develop and maintain acohesive color palett e that aligns with each project’s narrative, mood, and branding .Createcustom LUT s andgrading template s for consistent use across recurring content formats .Ensureaccurate skin tone s,balanced highlights and shadow s, anddept h that enhances storytelling .Technical Workflow & Deliver yManageDaVinci Resolv e workflows (or equivalent professional grading suites), from conforming and color grading to rendering and final delivery .Collaborate closely with cinematographers and editors to ensure footage iscaptured and delivered to maximize grading flexibilit y .Implementcolor pipeline s that integrate seamlessly with post-production workflows, ensuringefficient turnaround time s without compromising on quality .Maintain color accuracy throughcolor-managed workflow s, ensuring deliverables are optimized forwe b,broadcas t, andLM S platforms . Quality Control & Consistenc yConductQC check s on final outputs, ensuring there are no color discrepancies, banding, or compression issues .Maintainvisual consistenc y across multi-camera setups, different locations, and varying lighting environments .Ensurecolor fidelit y between raw footage, graded outputs, and any integrated motion graphics or VFX elements .Collaboration & Creative Inpu tWork closely with directors, cinematographers, and post-production teams tointerpret creative brief s and bring thedirector’s vision to life through colo r .Provideon-set advic e during pre-production or principal photography, including recommendations onlightin g andcamera setting s to facilitate post-production grading .Stay updated oncolor grading trend s,cinema aesthetic s, andtechnical advancement s in the field, continuously pushing the visual boundaries of our content .What We’re Looking Fo rExperienc e: Minimum 2-3 years as aColoris t in a professional environment (films, commercials, branded content, masterclasses, etc.) .Software Proficienc y :Expertise inDaVinci Resolve Studi o (primary), with familiarity inAdobe Premiere Pr o,After Effect s, or other NLEs an added advantage .Proficiency incolor-managed workflow s,ACE S, andHDR gradin g is a plus .Technical Knowledg e :Deep understanding ofcolor theor y,color space s,LUT s,scopes (waveform, vector, parade ), andcolor calibratio n .Experience working with footage fromSony FX serie s,Canon Cinem a,Blackmagi c, andRE D cameras .Attention to Detai l: Obsessive aboutconsistenc y,color balanc e, andtechnical accurac y, with a sharp eye forsubtle nuance s in hue, saturation, and luminance .Creative Sensibilit y: Strong sense ofvisual storytellin g, with the ability to enhance mood and emotion through color while staying true to thebrand identit y .Communication & Collaboratio n: Excellent communication skills to articulate creative decisions and collaborate effectively withdirector s,DOP s, andeditor s .Nice to Hav eExperience withHDR workflow s andDolby Visio n mastering .Familiarity withon-set color monitorin g andlive gradin g tools .Understanding ofVFX pipeline s andcompositin g, ensuring clean color passes for effects-heavy projects.
