As our in-house Colorist, you will be instrumental in defining thevisual tone and color languageacross a diverse array of content—from premium educational videos and masterclasses to brand films and product explainers. You’ll bring a deep understanding ofcolor science ,S-Log/RAW workflows , andvisual storytellingto enhance mood, tone, and brand consistency. Your role is pivotal in ensuring every frame we release meets thehighest cinematic standards , elevating the learner's experience and reinforcing the NxtWave brand’s visual excellence.Key Responsibilities Color Grading & Look Development Performcolor correctionandcolor gradingon footage shot inS-Log/RAWprofiles, delivering high-quality, visually consistent results across a range of formats. Develop and maintain acohesive color palettethat aligns with each project’s narrative, mood, and branding. Createcustom LUTsandgrading templatesfor consistent use across recurring content formats. Ensureaccurate skin tones ,balanced highlights and shadows , anddepththat enhances storytelling. Technical Workflow & Delivery ManageDaVinci Resolveworkflows (or equivalent professional grading suites), from conforming and color grading to rendering and final delivery. Collaborate closely with cinematographers and editors to ensure footage iscaptured and delivered to maximize grading flexibility . Implementcolor pipelinesthat integrate seamlessly with post-production workflows, ensuringefficient turnaround timeswithout compromising on quality. Maintain color accuracy throughcolor-managed workflows , ensuring deliverables are optimized forweb ,broadcast , andLMSplatforms. Quality Control & Consistency ConductQC checkson final outputs, ensuring there are no color discrepancies, banding, or compression issues. Maintainvisual consistencyacross multi-camera setups, different locations, and varying lighting environments. Ensurecolor fidelitybetween raw footage, graded outputs, and any integrated motion graphics or VFX elements. Collaboration & Creative Input Work closely with directors, cinematographers, and post-production teams tointerpret creative briefsand bring thedirector’s vision to life through color . Provideon-set adviceduring pre-production or principal photography, including recommendations onlightingandcamera settingsto facilitate post-production grading. Stay updated oncolor grading trends ,cinema aesthetics , andtechnical advancementsin the field, continuously pushing the visual boundaries of our content. What We’re Looking For Experience : Minimum 2-3 years as aColoristin a professional environment (films, commercials, branded content, masterclasses, etc.). Software Proficiency : Expertise inDaVinci Resolve Studio(primary), with familiarity inAdobe Premiere Pro ,After Effects , or other NLEs an added advantage. Proficiency incolor-managed workflows ,ACES , andHDR gradingis a plus. Technical Knowledge : Deep understanding ofcolor theory ,color spaces ,LUTs ,scopes (waveform, vector, parade) , andcolor calibration . Experience working with footage fromSony FX series ,Canon Cinema ,Blackmagic , andREDcameras. Attention to Detail : Obsessive aboutconsistency ,color balance , andtechnical accuracy , with a sharp eye forsubtle nuancesin hue, saturation, and luminance. Creative Sensibility : Strong sense ofvisual storytelling , with the ability to enhance mood and emotion through color while staying true to thebrand identity . Communication & Collaboration : Excellent communication skills to articulate creative decisions and collaborate effectively withdirectors ,DOPs , andeditors . Nice to Have Experience withHDR workflowsandDolby Visionmastering. Familiarity withon-set color monitoringandlive gradingtools. Understanding ofVFX pipelinesandcompositing , ensuring clean color passes for effects-heavy projects.Why Join Us?
