Job Title: VP - FinanceJob Overview:The VP - Finance is a leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of the organization. This individual plays a crucial role in strategic planning, financial decision-making, and ensuring financial health and compliance. The position requires strong financial acumen, leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of financial management practices, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:Financial Strategy and Planning:Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organization's goals. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making by senior management. Lead the annual budgeting process, including forecasting and long-term financial planning.Financial Reporting and Analysis:Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements and reports. Monitor financial performance, conduct variance analysis, and provide actionable insights to improve profitability and cost-efficiency. Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and local regulatory requirements. Experience in handling transfer pricing, International transactions/taxation is a added advantageAccounting and Compliance:Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets. Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. Coordinate and manage internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory filings, and financial reporting requirements.Cash Flow and Treasury Management:Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital management. Optimize the company's capital structure and manage relationships with financial institutions, including debt financing and credit facilities. Oversee investment strategies and risk management to safeguard company assets.Team Leadership and Development:Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. Provide guidance on complex financial issues, accounting principles, and best practices. Ensure the finance team is equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to perform effectively.Cost Management and Efficiency:Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements across the organization. Collaborate with department heads to review budgets, control expenses, and optimize resource allocation.Stakeholder Management:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and ensure alignment between finance and other departments. Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, and financial partners.Technology and Systems Improvement:Leverage financial management systems and tools to streamline operations and improve reporting accuracy and efficiency. Knowledge and working experience in ZOHO is an added advantage. Stay updated on emerging financial technologies and recommend system upgrades to enhance efficiency.Qualifications:Chartered accountant with 15-20 years of experience in a start-up environment Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements. Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and forecasting. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop talent. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior management. Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
