Job description:

  • The Head of Accounting covers all areas of operations, guarantees that financial controls are sustained, produces timely financial statements and performance reports and assists departments with their annual budgets, reviews, and internal controls.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to optimize financial performance and mitigate risks.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and tax authorities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate and implement financial systems and tools to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and economic factors to assess their impact on financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic plans, financial forecasts, and investment strategies to support business growth and expansion.
  • Hand on experience in handling end to end processes within accounting department
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solver, detailed oriented, and appreciation for accuracy.
  • Ability to efficiently provide highquality work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to communicate complex scenarios and topics in a clear and ingestible manner.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge.
  • Manage daytoday accounting operations and ensure that there is a redundant process backup in place for every critical operation.
  • Create new internal accounting corporate policies and maintain existing policies.
  • Monitor emerging technology to determine ways to automate the accounting process without sacrificing accuracy and accountability.
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly quarterly and yearly end close.
  • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
  • Assist the controller in the daily banking recruitment.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely process of positive pay transaction.
  • Ensure the monthly and quarterly bank compliance active are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Support budget and forecasting activates.
  • Monitors and analyses department work to develop more efficient procedure and use.
  • Advise staff regarding the handling non routine reporting transaction.
  • Work with the controls ensures a clean and timely year end audit.
  • Supervise the general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadline are met.
