Position Summary

Team:

You'll be joining the ITAM Content Management team, whose mission is to provide customers worldwide with a unified platform to oversee all their IT Assets. A crucial aspect of effective IT Asset Management involves standardizing hardware and software discovery data and aligning them to ensure the efficient management of IT assets. This entails building an extensive library of hardware and software models from major manufacturers, along with normalization guidelines. We're putting together a team to oversee this content service, a pivotal element of our IT Asset Management solution.

Role:

You will focus on developing and improving the content services, a vital component of our ITAM product that empowers customers to manage all IT assets and maintain compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop content to facilitate content normalization service
  • Research various publishers, products, and related software content from the industry to build the necessary content library for ITAM normalization
  • Guide and lead a team of data analysts in researching market information for various products in the public domain and standardize them in our content databases
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering to design and implement the content service modules
  • Create and maintain both manual and automated systems to ensure the content data is up-to-date as needed
  • Conduct peer reviews of content for quality assurance
  • Offer technical solutions for managing content data challenges, including developing tools & applications
  • Establish and enforce processes and controls to update and publish new content
  • Establish and manage a Technical Lab for proactive content management
  • Develop and maintain project and knowledgebase documentation
  • Assist in resolving customer issues by engaging with customers and internal teams as required
  • Provide training to team members in your areas of expertise
  • Provide insights to the Infrastructure team on automation and infrastructure opportunities
  • Engage with major publishers through various channels to understand licensing models, product releases, etc.
Requirements

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • 4 to 7 years of experience in Software Asset Management
  • Familiarity with ITAM tools like ServiceNow, SNOW, FlexNet, SCCM, MAP, ILMT, etc.
  • Understanding of various licensing metrics of top publishers such as Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Adobe, IBM, etc.
  • Knowledge of different engagement/contract types offered by top publishers like Microsoft: EA, Adobe: VIP, License programs, Oracle:EA, etc.
  • Experience in implementing SAM tools like ServiceNow, SNOW, FlexNet is advantageous
  • Proficiency in scripting for information gathering using tools like SCCM is beneficial
  • Comprehension of Suites, bundle products, life cycles, licensing metrics, license types, part numbers, downgrades, etc.
  • Aptitude for managing products and related entities in the event of mergers or acquisitions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience in a Data Content-based project is a significant asset
  • Passion for researching and devising solutions for various challenges
