Job overview and responsibilities

The goal of NOC Ops Strategy & Analytics team is empowering NOC leaders with timely and actionable data driven insights to contextualize their everyday performance and drivers for the same - by conducting analyses on various operational drivers. Operations analytics involves vast and complex data sources which implicate the need for strong statistical concepts, technical and analytical skillsets, visualization and business acumen – in order to navigate cross-functional problem statements. As a leadership role, this requires active engagement with NOC senior leadership to identify their problem areas and provide thought leadership and analytical support.

Provide analytical and program management support for all NOC divisions, with focus on our long-term strategic plans for operational readiness, performance management Design solutions to various business problems across NOC teams using data analysis, optimization tools, statistical modeling and machine learning techniquesLead status meetings and manage frequent communication to business stakeholders, and senior leadership, as requiredOptimize team productivity by effectively managing employee bandwidth, prioritization, along with mentoring the direct reports to foster professional growth

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree in Bachelor's in Engineering, Computer Science, or quantitative fields such as Mathematics or Statistics6+ years of experience in analytics requiredAt least 1 year of experience in leading analytics projects requiredExpertise in database querying tools, writing complex queries SQLStrong knowledge of modern scripting languages (Python/ R)Strong knowledge of reporting tools such as Spotfire or Tableau/ PowerBIExpert knowledge of multivariate statistical analysis and machine learningAbility to communicate effectively with peers and leaders, especially expressing complex quantitative analysis clearly and preciselyAbility to manage & mentor a team
