Job Overview Looking for a dynamic and data-driven managerial level candidate with expertise in retail strategy, annual planning, project management, research and analytics to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will support MD office by delivering insights through data analysis, driving strategic initiatives and ensuring alignment with AOP (Annual Operating Plan), sales targets and financial objectives. This role will play a key part in shaping the companys strategic direction and optimizing retail performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Retail Strategy: Assist in the development and implementation of the company's retail strategy while collaborating with cross-functional teams i.e. Marketing, Operations, Production, Merchandising, IT, HR and Finance.
2. Annual Operating Planning: Support the AOP process of 350+ stores to define annual sales and financial targets. Further, track progress against AOP targets, identify areas of concern, and recommend corrective actions to ensure achievement of financial goals.
3. Retail Sales Targets: Drive monthly sales targets process while collaborating with the sales and leadership teams
4. Financial Performance: Perform detailed financial analysis, including cost-benefit and profitability. Also, support the finance team in forecasting and budgeting activities for the retail division.
5. Project Management: Manage cross-functional projects, such as digital transformation, store optimization or new technology implementation that drive business growth, operational efficiency or customer experience improvement
6. Market & Competitive Intelligence: Conduct market research and SWOT analysis to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitive insights in the retail industry.
7. Data Analytics: Provide analytical support on strategic decisions, store-sales performance, stores expansion, customer behavior, season planning and customer experience optimization.
8. Management Reporting: Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly dashboards/reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, traffic, conversion rates, and profitability across different retail channels (EBO, LFS, etc.).
9. Participate in review meetings and help prepare minutes and track follow up task.
Key Skills Required
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Technology + MBA from premium B-school • 5+ years of experience in similar roles with companies having turnover of 500+ crore or consulting companies • Strong analytical, data modelling, problem-solving skills, including advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint • Excellent cross-functional stakeholder management, time management and written/verbal communication skills • Ability to work under pressure and deal with ambiguity with minimal supervision • Retail and Garment industry experience preferred.
