About this role

Dow has an opportunity for a GEN AI Specialist to join the Enterprise Data and Analytics group (organized in Information Technology) located in Mumbai (IND). This role will provide technical and operational support for GenAI projects and solutions within the Analytics and AI Hub tower. You will be expected to manage and upskill small teams of data scientists for success on GenAI projects. You will also collaborate with other GenAI teams, stakeholders, and customers to deliver high-quality and innovative outcomes. Development and maintenance of GenAI skills and knowledge to keep up with the evolving field of artificial intelligence and human factors will also be necessary. You will be the liaison and crucial point of contact for organizational strategy and advisement regarding implementation of GenAI.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of GenAI model applications under a variety of enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot GenAI Models, document and communicate GenAI processes, procedures, and results, using appropriate formats and channels. Identify and escalate GenAI issues and risks, proposing solutions and mitigation strategies.
  • Research and evaluate new GenAI technologies and trends, recommending improvements and enhancements. Participate in GenAI training and learning activities, enhancing own and others' skills and knowledge.
  • Continuously refine and optimize AI models to improve their performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness while ensuring compliance with industry standards and international regulations.
  • Actively participate in the integration of AI developments into platform and product ecosystems, facilitating seamless and impactful adoption including change management responsibilities.
  • Manage project workflows and agile task flows for enterprise scale of GenAI proof of concept solutions developed by the hub teams.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (M.Sc./Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Preferred Skills

  • Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) or equivalent.
  • At least two years of experience in GenAI or related domains, such as machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, or human-computer interaction.
  • Familiarity with one or more GenAI frameworks and platforms such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Azure (preferred), or other cloud-based tools.
  • Comprehensive experience in applying deep learning and machine learning architectures, particularly transformers and bespoke language models, to real-world industry problems.
  • Vector database comprehension and experience. Specifically, Python, Azure Cognitive Search and Elastic Search.
  • Experience in advanced prompt engineering, fine-tuning, orchestration, and, ideally, graph technologies is highly desirable (Neo4j preferred)
