Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to lead our office furniture sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales management within the furniture industry, with a focus on office furniture solutions. This role requires strategic thinking, leadership abilities, and a proven track record of driving sales growth.

Role & responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company sales targets and objectives in the office furniture segment.
  2. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to drive performance, meet targets, and exceed customer expectations.
  3. Sales Planning: Develop sales plans, forecasts, and budgets aligned with company objectives, market trends, and customer demands.
  4. Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, architects, designers, and decision-makers in the office furniture industry.
  5. Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats. Utilize insights to adapt sales strategies and tactics accordingly.
  6. Product Knowledge: Possess a deep understanding of our office furniture product line, including features, benefits, and applications. Provide guidance and training to the sales team as needed.
  7. Sales Process Optimization: Continuously improve sales processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  8. Performance Monitoring: Monitor sales performance metrics, KPIs, and pipeline activity. Take proactive measures to address any issues and capitalize on opportunities for improvement.
  9. Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, operations, and other departments to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  10. Reporting: Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for senior management. Communicate progress, challenges, and recommendations effectively.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA is a plus.
  2. Proven track record of success in sales management, preferably in the office furniture industry.
  3. Strong leadership abilities with experience in leading and developing high-performing sales teams.
  4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
  6. Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
  7. Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  8. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  9. Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales management tools.
  10. Willingness to travel as needed.
