Job Description :


The Network Engineer will report to the Team Manager and be responsible for managing complex network infrastructure across different hardware platforms.

The ideal candidate should have extensive hands-on experience with Cisco devices and network protocols, along with the ability to create quality documentation.

Responsibilities :

Network Engineering :

- Manage and configure Cisco devices including Core Switches, ASR routers, ASA firewalls, Meraki, and Catalyst switches

- Strong understanding and experience with network protocols/services/technologies such as BGP, OSPF, ISIS, IP/MPLS, QoS, MPLS Traffic Engineering, Multicast, SDWAN, and NAT

- Utilize network inventory and monitoring tools like LanSweeper, HP Network Node Manager, SolarWinds, Sniffer, PRTG, and Cisco Works

- Troubleshoot stateful packet flows and common network issues related to packet switching/routing

- Perform network administration and automation, including installation and patch management of network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, network security devices)

- Conduct network problem determination and resolution, log analysis, etc.

- Good knowledge of authentication methods like Radius and Tacacs

- Review network security threat logs for intrusions and compromises, providing solutions

- Proficiency in creating network isolation through DMZ, VLAN, and micro-segmentation

- Write well-designed, efficient, and readable process documentation following technical documentation standards

- Support and maintain existing network infrastructure adhering to SLAs

- Drive customer communication during critical events

Organizational Responsibilities :

- Seek and participate in support opportunities across the organization

- Actively participate in the skill development of colleagues (workshops, presentations)

- Contribute to the corporate knowledge base

- Follow agile practices

Skills and Requirements :

Desired Skills :

- CCIE R&S / SP certification

- 5-7 years of hands-on experience with Cisco products

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Optional Skills :

- Experience in Command Center/Network Operations Center is a plus

- Knowledge of Quality of Service (QoS) and Class of Service (CoS), and VoIP technology

- AWS/Azure experience

- VMWare/Hyper-V experience

Professional Skills :
