Job Description :


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Palo Alto Firewall Engineer to join our security team. You will play a vital role in managing, securing, and optimizing our network infrastructure using Palo Alto Networks firewalls. You will leverage your in-depth knowledge of Palo Alto technologies, network security principles, and best practices to ensure our network environment remains protected from cyber threats.

Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and configure Palo Alto firewalls to enforce robust security policies and access controls.

- Manage and maintain Palo Alto firewalls, including user accounts, logging, and system health.

- Monitor network activity and identify potential security threats using Palo Alto's security features (threat intelligence, intrusion prevention).

- Analyze security logs and troubleshoot network security incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

- Configure and manage network security features such as firewall rules, NAT (Network Address Translation), VPN tunnels, and application security.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest threats and vulnerabilities and update Palo Alto firewalls with security patches and filters.

- Perform regular security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities in the network infrastructure.

- Document firewall configurations, security policies, and procedures for ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.

- Collaborate with network engineers, security analysts, and other IT teams to ensure efficient network security operations.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

- 5-7 years of experience with Palo Alto firewalls management, administration, and configuration.

- Certified Palo Alto Networks Professional (PCNSE) or equivalent certification (highly preferred).

- Strong knowledge of network security principles and practices (firewalls, VPNs, intrusion prevention, etc.).

- Proficiency in configuring and managing Palo Alto firewalls and related technologies (PAN-OS, Panorama).

- Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP), VPN configurations (IPsec, SSL), and security policies.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network security issues.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with IT teams and stakeholders.

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a secure network environment.
