About the Role

The Assistant Engineer will serve as the Shift In-Charge for the Central Growth Shop, focusing on mechanical maintenance. The role involves overseeing shift operations, ensuring smooth maintenance activities, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to maintain equipment reliability and operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day shift activities and ensure smooth operations.
  • Plan and manage spare parts requirements for maintenance activities.
  • Supervise and manage manpower during the shift.
  • Coordinate with the operations team for scheduling maintenance of equipment.
  • Manage and execute maintenance activities of weigh bridges.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and maintenance procedures.

Key Requirements

Education

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Experience

  • 5–6 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance practices
  • Ability to lead and manage teams effectively
  • Good coordination and communication skills
  • Proficiency in planning and executing maintenance activities
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Familiarity with weigh bridge maintenance (preferred)
