Role Description :

We are seeking a skilled Redshift DBA with previous Teradata experience to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic IT Specialist with 7+ years of experience in AWS Cloud Administration, Infrastructure Setup, Cloud Data Warehouse (Redshift DBA), and DevOps tools.

The Redshift DBA will be responsible for managing Redshift databases, optimizing performance, implementing DevOps practices, and supporting migration activities.

Responsibilities :

Redshift Database Administration :

- Manage and maintain Redshift databases, including schema design, data loading, and performance tuning.

- Implement best practices for Redshift database security, backups, and disaster recovery.

- Monitor database performance and optimize queries to ensure efficient use of resources.

AWS Cloud Administration :

- Provision and configure AWS Cloud services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, CloudWatch, and IAM.

- Monitor AWS environments for cost optimization, backup management, and service upgrades.

- Implement CloudFormation templates for automated infrastructure provisioning.

DevOps and CI/CD :

- Implement DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for automating software delivery and deployment.

- Utilize DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jfrog, and Flyway for version control, continuous integration, and deployment automation.

- Collaborate with development teams to streamline development processes and improve deployment efficiency.

Database Migration and Support :

- Support migration activities for tools like HVR, Matillion, and Airflow to AWS Cloud.

- Assist in setting up and maintaining data migration pipelines between on-premises systems and AWS Cloud.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- 7+ years of experience in IT with a focus on AWS Cloud Administration, Redshift DBA, and DevOps.

- AWS Certified Solution Architect Professional certification.

- Proficiency in Shell Scripting and Python for automation tasks.

- Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, and IAM.

- Experience with Redshift and PSQL for database administration.

- Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jfrog, and Flyway.

- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.

- Experience with database migration tools like HVR, Matillion, and Airflow is a plus.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and quick understanding of technical concepts.

- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Additional Skills :

- Experience with Snowflake DBA and DevOps setup & support using AWS Cloud.

- Knowledge of Talend, Informatica, and Tableau for data integration and visualization.

- Familiarity with Athena, Spectrum, and Glue for data analysis and ETL.

- Proficiency in Git for version control.

- Experience with Python for automation and scripting tasks.

- Knowledge of SonarQube and QuerySurge for code quality analysis.
