Responsibilities :

  • Perform daily database administration tasks, including user management, backup and recovery, performance monitoring, and patching.
  • Implement and manage database replication solutions for high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues efficiently, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal performance.
  • Secure Oracle databases by implementing and maintaining robust security protocols, including access control and user permissions.
  • Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex database problems.
  • Collaborate effectively with developers and other IT professionals to ensure database support aligns with business needs.
  • Document database procedures and configurations to ensure knowledge transfer and maintain best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in Oracle database technology.

Qualifications :

  • 4-6 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration.
  • Strong understanding of database administration concepts and principles.
  • Experience with database replication technologies and disaster recovery planning.
  • Knowledge of database security best practices and access control mechanisms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve database issues effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with IT project management methodologies (a plus).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
