About the Role :

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Power BI Developer to join our Software Development department.

You will play a key role in transforming raw data into actionable insights by designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.

This role requires a blend of technical expertise in data manipulation, analysis, and visualization, along with strong communication skills to translate complex data into clear and impactful information for stakeholders.

Responsibilities :

- Design and develop robust Power BI solutions, leveraging functionalities across the entire spectrum

- ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) : Extract data from various sources (SQL databases, Excel files, SharePoint folders, Azure), transform it for consistency, and load it into Power BI.

- Data Modeling : Establish relationships between tables using primary keys and logical connections to ensure data integrity.

- Data Transformation : Utilize advanced Power Query techniques to clean, shape, and enrich data for analysis.

- DAX Formulas & Measures : Create complex DAX formulas and measures to calculate key metrics and uncover hidden insights within the data.

- Visualizations : Design compelling and informative visualizations (charts, graphs, maps) to effectively communicate data stories.

- Manage and maintain a library of Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring they are accurate, up-to-date, and meet user needs.

- Implement row-level security within Power BI to control data access based on user roles and permissions.

- Manage Power BI Service workspace administration tasks, including deployment, maintenance, and user access control.

- Utilize Power BI REST APIs to retrieve additional information about the Power BI environment for optimization purposes.

- Collaborate with the Business Intelligence (BI) team to ensure BST BI data is readily available and accessible within Power BI.

- Partner with data warehouse teams to acquire data from primary and secondary sources, ensuring data accuracy and quality.

- Develop and implement data analysis strategies to optimize data collection, cleaning, and analysis processes.

- Create clear and concise documentation to capture data visualization requirements and technical specifications.

- Participate in Agile development methodologies to deliver Power BI solutions efficiently.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience and education).

- Proven experience with Power BI, demonstrating proficiency in advanced functionalities like DAX formulas, Power Query, and data modeling.

- Experience with connecting to various data sources (SQL databases, Excel files, cloud storage) within Power BI.

- Strong understanding of data analysis principles and statistical techniques.

- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to effectively translate data insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Proactive and results-oriented with a strong work ethic and ownership mentality.

- Creative and data-driven with a passion for presenting data in a visually compelling and informative way.

- Fluency in English for comprehending written instructions and verbal communication
