About The Job :

Essential Job Functions :

- Ideal candidate will have experience in working with Power Query in excel, Power BI Data Flows and Power BI Desktop Application.

- Have demonstrated ability to construct a variety of data models (Relational, Hierarchical and Dimensional).

- Able to assess conflicting approaches/ methodologies, articulate differences and make a recommendation.

- Is able to balance the desire to automate processes with a practical perspective; balancing the cost benefit of building the automation.

Skill Domains :

- Identify specific sub-skills, tools and Technologies.

- Knowledge on Cognos.

- Data Modelling.

- Experience with Hierarchical and Dimensional Modelling.

- Ability to create model from similar datasets; evaluating.

- Ability to balance data volume, aggregation and performance.

Qualifications : Graduation.

Required Skills :


Data Modeling :


- Demonstrated ability to construct and manage relational, hierarchical, and dimensional data models. Proficiency in creating and optimizing data models for business intelligence purposes.


BI Tools :


- Expertise in Power BI and Cognos, including report development, dashboard creation, and data visualization.


- Ability to leverage advanced features of these tools to deliver high-quality BI solutions.


Data Integration :


- Strong skills in integrating data from diverse sources, performing data cleansing, and ensuring data consistency and accuracy.


Analytical Skills :


- Ability to assess conflicting approaches and methodologies in data modeling.


- Articulate differences, make informed recommendations, and implement the best solutions.


Automation :


- Practical understanding of automation in data processes.


- Ability to evaluate the cost-benefit of automation and implement solutions that balance efficiency and resource utilization.


Performance Tuning :


- Experience in balancing data volume, aggregation, and performance to ensure efficient and effective BI solutions.
