The Finacle Test Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality of the Finacle banking software through comprehensive testing and automation.

They are essential in maintaining the integrity and functionality of the system, ensuring a seamless user experience, and complying with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Extensive experience in creating test plans and test strategy documents.

- Involved in baselining test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.

- Hands-on experience in creating and executing test scripts using open-source and commercial tools.

- Must be necessarily proficient in JMeter and Load Runner.

- Responsible for preparing defect reports, test summary reports, and defect metrics.

- Developing and validating complex SQL scripts.

- Strong knowledge of various testing cycles, release activities, and team handling skills.

- Defining and tracking quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results, and test status.

- Experience in analyzing transformations from DMS mapping documents and creating SQL scripts.

- Experience in the preparation of effort estimates.

- Experience in BI report testing using Business Objects, Cognos, and Power BI.

- Conducting peer reviews with the offshore testing team to finalize the test cases, test scripts for ETL, and Cube validations.

- Using Quality Center/ALM to load the test cases, and track execution against the plan during the testing phase.

- Responsible for tracking defects in QC/ALM, validating the defect, assigning the defects to the development team, and closing the defect after successful retesting.

- Verifying test case scripts based on the functional specifications and maintaining traceability with the requirements.

- Responsible for maintaining a repository for testing activities for future use.

- Coordinating the UAT efforts between the business and development teams for efficient defect tracking and closure.

- Conducting daily status calls during IT and UAT for test execution and defect tracking.

- Communicating testing activities to the project teams and high-level management daily, including the test execution progress, defect summary, and burn-down charts.

- Responsible for setting up databases for the QA environment and working with DBAs to assign proper privileges to the testing team for testing.

- Organizing daily triage calls with the testing team and the development teams to facilitate progress review, defect discussion, and issue resolutions.

- Attending daily status meetings for data quality issues and also technical review meetings.

- Knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem and testing big data systems with Hive or Hbase knowledge is an added advantage.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience in performance testing on Finacle CBS is a must.

- Proven experience as a Test Engineer with a focus on Finacle software.

- Proficiency in automated testing tools such as Selenium, HP UFT, or similar.

- Strong understanding of banking processes, particularly those related to core banking systems.

- In-depth knowledge of Finacle modules, configurations, and integrations.

- Expertise in writing and executing complex SQL queries for data validation.

- Capability to work effectively in an Agile development environment.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Certifications related to software testing or Finacle are a plus.
