Position Title: Accounts Manager

Location: Gurgaon / Pune

Experience Required: Minimum 7–8 years in finance & accounts roles with complete end-to-end finance exposure.

Communication Requirement:

- Strong communication skills required to interact with an expatriate.

- For the Gurgaon role, moderately above-average communication is acceptable.

- For the Pune role, strong communication is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Finance Management

- Handle complete accounting operations including bookkeeping, reconciliations, month-end closing, and year-end financials.

- Ensure accuracy of ledgers and finalization of accounts.

Fee & Transaction Management

- Manage fee collections, payments, reconciliations, and reporting.

- Maintain accurate records of student/parent fee receipts (school experience preferred).

Vendor & Payment Management

- Process and track vendor payments.

- Maintain vendor records, reconciliations, and ensure timely disbursal.

Financial Operations

- Manage daily finance operations including cash flow, bank reconciliations, expense tracking, and financial controls.

- Ensure compliance with relevant financial processes and audit requirements.

Budgeting & Reporting

- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.

Audit & Compliance

- Support internal and external audits.

- Maintain transparent, accurate, audit-ready documentation.

Stakeholder Coordination

- Collaborate with the Head of School, administration, HR, finance head office, auditors, and vendors.

- Present financial data in a clear and structured manner.

Process Improvements

- Recommend and implement improvements in finance processes, reporting systems, and controls.


Skills & Competencies


- Strong understanding of accounting principles and full finance cycle.

- Experience with account finalization, fee management, vendor payments, and financial reporting.

- Prior experience in a school/institutional environment is preferred.

- Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong analytical skills.

- High integrity, transparency, and confidentiality in handling financial data.

- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to manage multiple finance activities simultaneously.

- Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and MS Excel
