Job Title: Loan Specialist – MSME Lending
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Loan Specialist to connect MSME borrowers with a wide network of banks and NBFCs. The role involves understanding borrower requirements, assessing credit eligibility, and matching them with the most suitable loan products — ensuring faster approvals, better loan terms, and high customer satisfaction.
This position combines sales and credit analysis, involving end-to-end ownership of the loan process — from customer engagement to sanction and disbursement.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with MSME borrowers to understand funding needs, business goals, and repayment capacity.
- Review credit scores, financial statements, and collateral details to evaluate loan eligibility.
- Recommend suitable bank or NBFC loan products, optimizing for rate, tenure, and amount.
- Coordinate with relationship managers, underwriters, and lenders for smooth loan processing.
- Act as a bridge between borrowers and lenders to resolve issues and ensure clear communication.
- Maintain accurate borrower records in CRM systems and provide insights for process improvement.
- Build long-term borrower relationships through transparent, trust-based communication.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 2–5 years in banking or NBFCs in a similar role.
- Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of secured loan products, especially mortgages or loan against property (LAP).
- Technical Skills: Ability to read financial statements and interpret credit reports (CIBIL, CRIF, etc.).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, persuasion, and analytical skills.
- Mindset: Customer-centric, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a tech-enabled, fast-paced lending environment.
