The Advertising team is a savvy, creative and driven group of professionals working on cutting-edge optimization strategies. We focus on innovative solutions, expanding our in-house technologies, and maximizing evolving ad tech trends to generate revenue for our Chegg.
The Role: Senior Ad Revenue Analyst
The Advertising team is looking for an analytical and motivated individual to learn and support our advertising efforts. You will be a part of a recognized and passionate team that is focused on advanced monetization strategies to bring our amazing products to students, free of charge.
You will work with the yield and engineering teams to support our goals and initiatives. Prior experience in digital advertising is required, you should have a general understanding of programmatic advertising and a passion for big data, understanding and spotting trends in data and creative thinking applied to technical solutions.

What you'll be working on:
- Supporting the efforts of the yield and engineering team to accomplish business goals
- Monitoring and analyzing advertising performance from key revenue streams against our forecasted goals
- Leveraging various data sources to identify performance trends to proactively generate actionable insights and recommendations from those metrics
- Helping troubleshoot revenue-related issues by marrying natural curiosity with a keen understanding of our programmatic ad solutions
- Designing and analyzing A/B tests to further optimize our ad set up
- Helping grow our current vendor partnerships by monitoring changes in performance and opportunities for optimization.
- Supporting quality assurance efforts to ensure continued ad delivery to our users
Requirements:
- 5+ years of programmatic advertising experience required
- A holistic understanding of the digital advertising landscape and eager to learn the ins and outs of the digital advertising industry.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven recommendations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills able to communicate the big picture and drill down to supporting details
- Must be highly organized with the ability to multi-task and excellent follow-through
- Experienced (or eager to gain experience) in solving challenges related to programmatic and direct advertising
- Goal-oriented and motivated by contributing to improving performance
- Advanced Microsoft Excel data skills (Pivot tables etc, Lookups, Array Formula, Conditional Logic)
- Experience with R and/or Python for data analysis is a bonus
