Job Summary:

Adani New Industries Limited is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Safety Officer to join our WTG Manufacturing unit in Mundra. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety, with specific experience in heavy lifting operations. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with safety standards and fostering a culture of safety across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor safety policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with company and statutory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe lifting practices in heavy equipment operations.
  • Supervise and guide site teams on safety protocols during construction and manufacturing activities.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct safety training and toolbox talks for workers and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory safety standards.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure safety is integrated into all phases of the project.
  • Maintain safety documentation and records as per audit requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety or equivalent.
  • 5–8 years of experience in construction safety, preferably in large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in managing safety for heavy lifting operations.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk management, and incident investigation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Certification in rigging/lifting safety will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001.
  • Experience working in renewable energy or manufacturing sectors.
