JOB Description:

  • Design and implement Layer 7 solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements for Layer 7 architectures
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architectural diagrams, configurations, and procedures
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Layer 7 services, collaborating with other teams as needed
  • Optimize performance and scalability of Layer 7 solutions, monitoring and tuning them to meet service level objectives
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in Layer 7 space
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members
  • Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for Layer 7 services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of Layer 7 solutions with other systems and services
  • Conduct periodic security assessments and audits of Layer 7 infrastructure

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting Layer 7 solutions in a large-scale production environment
  • Strong expertise in Layer 7 protocols and technologies such as HTTP, SSL/TLS, API gateways, load balancers, and reverse proxies
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python
  • Experience with Layer 7 solutions including F5 BIG-IP, NGINX, Apache HTTP Server, and Kong
  • Solid understanding of network protocols and concepts
  • Strong knowledge of security principles and best practices in Layer 7 environments
  • Experience with cloud platforms and container technologies is a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Certifications such as Certified F5 BIG-IP Administrator, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or related certifications are a plus
