Who are we?

Trelleborg India Private Limited, (Business Unit: Trelleborg Sealing Solutions) headquartered at Bangalore is a leading sealing solution provider in India. The company with about 700 employees across India has been successful in creating strong footholds in the Sealing market of the country.

We are looking for you as a Segment Manager - Automotive for our sales department in Bangalore, India to support the growth of our automotive segment & promote the entire range of products offered by the company in the segment.

About the Job

  • You will be responsible for defining and implementing a strategic sales approach for automotive OEMs, tier 1 & tier 2 customers in the segment.
  • You will lead and build a high-performance team with focus on developing new business.
  • You will be responsible for end-to-end sales and new business/ new product development in this segment.
  • You will be responsible for customer analysis and understanding the market dynamics.
  • You will have the opportunity to develop the annual budget for the turnover and margin for this segment.
  • You will be responsible for growing the market share Year on Year.
  • You will be responsible for the turnover and margin of the segment.
  • You will ensure to offer on-field & off-field solutions & ensure the highest customer satisfaction level.
  • Your responsibilities will include initial verification of contracts and legal documents of customers.

About the Ideal Candidate

Education & Experience:

  • Technical Education (minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields)
  • Has 10-12 years of experience in a customer-facing role involving automotive customers, especially in technical application or sales roles.
  • Project management skills
  • Great networking skills
  • Excellent prioritization skills
  • Experience in working in a global organization

Competencies:

  • Strong working experience with Automotive Segment customers.
  • Knowledge of Seals, Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
  • Knowledge of Rubber/Plastic products
