Title: Head of Cloud Data

About the Role:

As the Head of Cloud Data and Data Engineering, you will spearhead the management and strategic direction of our data engineering operations, with a particular focus on leveraging cloud technologies to maximize data utility and drive innovation. You will be responsible for designing, building, and overseeing our cloud-based data infrastructures and ensuring they align with our strategic goals and data governance standards.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and execute long-term data engineering vision with cloud solutions for growth.

· Integrate data engineering strategies with broader IT and business initiatives.

· Oversee scalable, secure cloud data infrastructure design and implementation.

· Lead and scale data engineering team fostering high performance.

· Manage data integrity, quality, and compliance with regulations.

· Implement and update data governance framework aligned with business needs.

· Implement new cloud data technologies and processes for optimization.

· Communicate data engineering strategies effectively to stakeholders.

· Tailor data solutions to business needs and add value through collaboration.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· Experience in advanced analytical techniques and big data technologies.

· Proficiency with modern development tools and programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Scala.

· Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and data science principles.

Certifications:

· Preferred certifications in Azure cloud computing or data engineering (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years in data engineering or a closely related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing mid to large-sized teams.

Proven experience in designing and deploying cloud data solutions, with a strong understanding of various cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).

Extensive experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building scalable data processing systems.

Competencies:

· Strong technical expertise in data architecture and engineering.

· Excellent leadership and team-building skills.

· Proven ability to drive digital transformation projects.

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
