Title: Head of Cloud Security Architecture

About the Role:

As the Head of Cloud Security Architecture, you will oversee the strategic development and implementation of robust security architectures across our cloud environments. This role demands an experienced leader capable of designing and enforcing advanced security measures to protect our cloud infrastructure and data against evolving cybersecurity threats.


Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

1.        Security Strategy Development :

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive cloud security strategy that aligns with organizational risk management policies.
  • Stay abreast of the latest security threats and trends to continually refine the security posture of the organization’s cloud environments.

2.        Architecture and System Design :

  • Design and implement security architectures for cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
  • Oversee the integration of new security technologies and enhancements into existing cloud environments to improve prevention, detection, and response capabilities.

3.        Leadership and Team Management :

  • Lead a team of cloud security architects and engineers, fostering an environment of professional growth and excellence.
  • Manage and mentor staff, setting clear goals and expectations, and promoting a culture of high-performance and continuous improvement.

4.        Stakeholder Engagement :

  • Collaborate with IT leaders and business stakeholders to ensure that security architectures and policies support the overall business and IT strategy.
  • Communicate complex security risks and technical issues to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and effective manner.

5.        Compliance and Risk Management :

  • Ensure compliance with international and national regulatory requirements pertinent to cloud security, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and others.
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits of cloud architectures to identify vulnerabilities and implement appropriate security measures.

6.        Incident Response and Crisis Management :

  • Develop and oversee the execution of incident response plans and activities related to security breaches or other security incidents in cloud environments.
  • Lead forensic investigations into how breaches happened and the extent of the damage.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

·        Deep understanding of public cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) with specific expertise in Azure.

·        Experience with security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and SOC 2.

·        Proficiency in using advanced threat modeling tools and methodologies.

Certifications:

·        Professional security management certifications, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or similar.

Experience:

·        Minimum of 10 years in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years focused on cloud security architecture.

·        Extensive experience designing and implementing security solutions in large-scale cloud environments.

Competencies:

·        Expert knowledge of cloud security architectures, best practices, and guidelines.

·        Proficiency in security systems, including firewalls, encryption protocols, and anti-virus software, with a focus on cloud-based security solutions.

·        Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a technical security team.

·        Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage under pressure.

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey security needs and solutions.

Qualifications: · MBA or equivalent advanced degree with extensive experience in consulting. · Extensive consulting experience, particularly in government policy and scheme development. · Exceptional strategic planning, negotiation, and communication skills. · Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams toward achieving strategic goals. · Deep expertise in market and industry trends, particularly in energy efficiency. · Relevant Project Management Certifications: Such as APM PMQ, Agile, or Prince2. · Business Analysis Qualifications: Relevant certifications or training.
