ExxonMobil's affiliates in India

ExxonMobil's affiliates have offices in India in Bengaluru, Mumbai and the National Capital Region.

ExxonMobil's affiliates in India supporting the Product Solutions business engage in the marketing, sales and distribution of performance as well as specialty products across chemicals and lubricants businesses. The India planning teams are also embedded with global business units for business planning and analytics.

ExxonMobil's LNG affiliate in India supporting the upstream business provides consultant services for other ExxonMobil upstream affiliates and conducts LNG market-development activities.

The Global Business Center - Technology Center provides a range of technical and business support services for ExxonMobil's operations around the globe.

What role you will play in our team
  • Develop, maintain portfolio of Chemical products(CP) category : Base oil, Additives, 3P Spec buy Finished lubes
  • Drive value, efficiency and market advantage, while ensuring operational integrity
  • Responsible for establishing strategic priorities for category, evaluating and sourcing suppliers (new / existing) & driving Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
  • Develop Total System Cost based strategies for effective negotiation
  • Prepare Procurement Plans and Awards for review and approval
  • Supplier Relationship Management
  • Contract Administration/Management activities
  • Optimizing supplier base and drive spend through preferred vendors and contracts
  • Bring industry expertise in supporting category that drives savings and Business transformation
  • Project start up related activities: Develop, maintain new supplier / contracts required for start-up of New India lube blending plant

What you will do
  • Procurement process execution
  • Identify Business Value and agreement rationalization opportunities within the portfolio
  • Execute bids and conduct techno-commercial negotiations
  • Provide portfolio specific market intelligence to peers and Business Lines
  • Steward tactical business relationship for key portfolio activities
  • Supplier Relationship Management activities
  • Ensure transactional efficiency of agreements (SAP friendly)
  • Resolve invoice and purchase order related recycle by identifying and eliminating root causes
  • Support other Contract Leads/Managers as needed
About You

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree (Chemical preferable) or equivalent with minimum 6.5CGPA
  • MBA in marketing /Material management / Supply chain would be added benefit.
  • At least 4 years' experience in responsible roles in Procurement in Lubricants/ Petrochemicals Industry
  • Procurement process expertise
  • Analytical skills / knowledge of "Total System Cost" principles
  • Procurement experience related to Lubes Value Chain is preferable
  • Procurement experience related to Lube blending plant start-up
  • Need good analytical as well as tactical skills
  • General industry and global market knowledge
  • Effective negotiation, advocacy and influencing skills
  • Knowledge of PtP (procure to pay) process including ERP systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work across different cultures and organizations
  • Fast learner, results/customer orient
