Job Title: Head of Finance / Future CFO

Location: Vijayawada

Salary: 50K + ESOPS, until we raise our first round. Later on Competitive, commensurate with experience.

About the Company:

V Wholesale is a fast-growing B2C and B2B2C marketplace for selling home interior and improvement products such as electric, lights, cables, fans, plumbing, sanitary, hardware, wooden materials, tools, and paints. Alongside our Retail Store & an Online Marketplace, we plan to launch a lending or Credit service for our partners. We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with extensive experience in legal compliance, process setup, underwriting, debt collection, fundraising, and partnerships with lending startups, NBFCs, and banks. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the lending and startup space and the capability to set up and lead our finance division.

Responsibilities:

Finance Division Management:

  • Oversee and manage the finance division, ensuring effective financial operations.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies and plans.
  • Establish and maintain robust financial controls and procedures.

Financial Operations:

  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Oversee cash flow management and cash forecasting.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key financial partners, including banks, NBFCs, and other startups.

Lending Operations:

  • Set up lending processes from scratch, including underwriting, debt collection, and compliance.
  • Oversee the underwriting process to ensure compliance with all regulations and guidelines.
  • Manage the collection process, ensuring timely and accurate collections.

Regulatory and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations.
  • Manage licensing and legal requirements related to lending.
  • Oversee audits and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Fundraising and Partnerships:

  • Lead fundraising efforts for the lending arm of the business.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and financial partners.
  • Provide financial analysis and guidance to senior management.

Strategic Financial Planning:

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to drive business growth.
  • Support business expansion in both rural and urban areas of India.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the lending space, preferably in a startup environment.
  • Strong knowledge of lending processes, KYC, underwriting, collections, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven experience in setting up lending processes and procedures from scratch.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience in both rural and urban areas of India is preferred.
