DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee).

The impact you will have in this role :

The Lead Engineer has hand-on experience with the ability to provide comprehensive technical consultation to business unit, IT management and staff at the highest technical level on all phases of the project development cycle

This person in this role will work closely with our Infrastructure teams and our internal business clients to resolve and escalate technical support incidents where necessary.

Your Primary Responsibilities :

Work closely with other Infrastructure engineers to identify and specify the complex business requirements and processes (e.g., diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools, etc.). Work with a cross-functional team leveraging agile development methodologies and tools Validate database build requirements, leverage automation tools to complete requirements Provide all aspects of DBA support including database installation (RAC/Single Instance) and configuration, upgrade, backup and recovery, partitioning, performance tuning, etc Other duties may be assigned. Installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining database instances both on premises and on cloud Recommending and implementing database security policies Recommending and implementing database backup, recovery, and redundancy strategies Implementing automated monitoring to ensure proactive handing of issues Working independently to perform database performance analysis, capacity planning, system sizing and ongoing maintenance.

Talents Needed for Success:

Minimum 6 years of experience Solid Experience in Database patching, database upgrades in both Oracle Oracle 19c HAS/RAC , Dataguard, Goldengate , OEM Should have worked as a L2 and L3 Engineer or above in managing Oracle environments Demonstrate strong performance Tuning and Optimization skills in Oracle Oracle Auditing, Partitioning and archiving Cloud : Aurora, PostGres and CloudWatch UNIX Shell scripting, PL/SQL, Ansible, Python Performance Tuning

Actual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
