Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Representative to join our logistics function. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in business development and 1-2 years of experience in logistics. This role requires a strong foundation in market research and an ability to drive strategic growth within the logistics sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the logistics sector to expand Ishteharwala's client base. Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and growth objectives.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients. Understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that align with Ishteharwala's offerings.
  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential opportunities within the logistics industry. Utilize findings to inform business development strategies.
  • Logistics Expertise: Leverage your logistics experience to understand client challenges and provide insights that enhance their supply chain and logistics operations.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Manage and track the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups and accurate forecasting. Utilize CRM tools to maintain detailed records of client interactions and progress.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and product development, to align business development efforts with company goals and client needs.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, market research findings, and progress toward targets to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in business development with a proven track record of success. 1-2 years of experience in logistics, preferably within the enterprise tech software sector.
  • Market Research Skills: Strong ability to conduct detailed market research and analyze data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to understand and address client needs effectively.
  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with logistics software and enterprise tech solutions is a plus.
