Job Summary
The Senior Program manager in the Product Security team supports, develops, champions, and progresses the security and privacy of our Products, Cloud Infrastructure and systems. We are looking for a motivated program manager to drive strategic and highly visible product security programs at Pluralsight. You will be challenged to use your problem solving and program management capabilities, and strong communication skills to make a larger impact at Pluralsight. The ideal candidate is one who understands the basic tenets of product security and can create a roadmap, prioritize work, and be able to drive larger security programs across organizations. The person needs to maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information, and work well with people at all levels. They should be process-oriented and comfortable putting effective mechanisms in place to streamline decision-making and ensure the right level of diligence.
Duties/responsibilities
Drive Security Roadmap across engineering teams and measure success Lead and manage strategic planning sessions and cross-functional prioritization Effectively manage cross-functional projects in defining scope, risks and managing deadlines Be proactive in removing blockers, change in priorities, and escalating risks. Track and provide reporting and measurements of program effectiveness and communicate them to leadership Good understanding of product security and compliance concepts Good understanding of Scrum, Kanban and Agile methodologies Strong interpersonal skills that enable you to influence without authority Having a track record of being able to successfully organize, implement, and manage complex programs and projects Communicate effectively within the project team, with our engineering leaders and with security leadership Build relationships with our engineering leaders and security leaders in order to inspire confidence in ability to execute high-quality programsMinimum qualifications/skills
Experience in project/program management Ability to organize workload, and the capacity to progress a range of tasks and projects at one time Experience with facilitation and conflict resolution Ability to communicate well with internal and external stakeholdersPreferred qualifications/skills
PMP certification is not required, but preferred Prior experience in managing product security programs will be a plusEducation and experience requirements
Requires a minimum of 8 years of related or equivalent experience; or 6+ years with an advanced degree.Physical and Mental requirements
Work is performed in an office (or home office) environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Sedentary work. Repetitive work. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
