Roles and Responsibilities

The Sales Head will be responsible to develop, implement, monitor and review a business strategy that maximizes the retail sales and profit by driving sales of watches and controlling costs at PAN INDIA level.

He will also be responsible to build and retain a motivated sales team.

Responsibilities: 1. Sales & Business Management
Driving the sales strategy for Watches by promoting products, keeping in mind the
profitability while driving sales
Handling sales budgeting for each region
Building, driving & achieving the annual sales target
Coordinating with dealers wrt to right stocking, merchandise mix, stock to
sales turn, rotation
Having in depth understanding of the brand and the business at a holistic level
& having complete product knowledge of all the collections that are launched
at any point in time
Ensuring the brand appeal, visual representation & merchandising concepts are duly
implemented & maintained
Creating an enthusiastic and successful sales environment focusing on
thinking outside the box and challenging the norm in business
Negotiating sales contracts and marketing strategies
Developing competencies and processes required to create an effective and
efficient sales organization
Staying abreast of competition and making necessary changes as per external
factors
Establishing effective relationships and collaborations with other departments
(Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, etc.) to address key business issues
and opportunities
Working with cross-functional teams to ensure success of sales & marketing
strategies
Driving continuous improvement in field force productivity, operational
discipline, system improvements and expertise in resolving field
Overlooking the inventory and after sales department of watches

  • Channel Management
Strengthening the brand–dealer relationships for the regions
Traveling across the country to nurture strong relationships with team and
vendors
Creating and managing channel partner network for products under the
distribution product portfolio
Formulating and deploying strategies for achieving consistent growth
Identifying opportunities for profitable new product launches and gain market
share

  • Finance & Collections
Improving on the terms of trade in line with the growing strength of the brand
P&L understanding for the brand's business for the region
Planning, monitoring and managing the departments resources according to
all expense budgets
Establishing sales targets by forecasting and developing sales quotas for
regions

  • Marketing/ Ecommerce
Planning and recommend merchandise for the region
Conducting research on current and future trends in design and lifestyle, and
associated target market features
Planning various marketing activities depending on the brand, business &
budget
Reviewing the marketing initiatives based on ROI, impact & sales
Monitoring the sales trends & business towards creation of marketing
programs that drive the ROI
Planning online promotions which can translate to visibility and more sales
Effective implementation of timely marketing initiatives, trade & consumer
promotions undertaken on the brand

Team Management & Leadership:
Defining an optimal sales force structure consisting of RSM & Sales
executives
Building a strong sales team by recruiting, selecting, training and appraising
the employees
Providing supervision through field visits, observations and measurement of
results to include in performance appraisals and salary reviews
Engaging and motivating the team to create the drive for excellent
performance and inspire them to take on bigger responsibilities
Generating action plans to enhance performance and productive capacity of
underperforming personnel

  • Reporting & System
Capturing competitive information and sharing with relevant stakeholders
Attending weekly sales meeting with the management

Prerequisites:
MBA- Specialization in Marketing with 10-15 years of experience
Strong research and analytical skills with an ability to forecast and identify
trends & challenges
Ability to think creatively and innovatively
Budget-management skills and proficiency
