The Associate is part of Ashland's Treasury team and will primarily be responsible for Bank Reconciliation.

The main activities & objectives:

  • Reconciliation of bank accounts for Ashland's Asia, EMEA, North American and South American entities.
  • Retrieval of electronic bank statement files from various bank websites and use of shared drives for statement upload and storage
  • Accurate and timely loading and posting of electronic bank statement activity
  • Manual bank statement entry and clearing
  • Comparison of bank statement data to the general ledger, researching discrepancies and preparing correcting entries
  • Following up on open items and preparation of weekly open item reports
  • Handling bank statement requests or document entry support from various departments as well as internal and external audit groups

Your experience/education is:

  • Internationally recognized degree
  • At least 2 years of experience in treasury or accounting or banking
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Experience with SAP

Your skills and abilities are:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products is required
  • Customer and serviceoriented attitude
  • Team player
  • Able to work independently, remotely and with mínimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Eye for detail and accuracy
  • Initiative
